Research conducted by the members of the Human-Machine Interaction and Cognition in Extended Reality research area relies on a human-centred experimental approach. It explores in depth:
- user experience,
- the cognitive mechanisms involved,
- as well as the behavioural effects induced by the use of immersive technologies such as virtual, augmented, and mixed reality.
This work aims to deepen our understanding of how these environments influence perception, learning, decision-making, and collaboration.
The research finds practical applications in a wide range of fields, including multi-user collaboration in virtual environments, innovative educational tools, and healthcare applications, both for training purposes and therapeutic support.
